The Builders Association has a long history of helping keep Chicagoland’s construction workers safe on jobsites. From its funding for the main award in the AGC’s Annual Safety Contest in 1927 to its Safety Alliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration today, the Builders Association has always encouraged its companies to develop strong safety programs.

We work closely with our Safety & Health Committee in order to address industry safety and health issues head on, and to best forecast for what our members should be doing now in order to maintain their stellar safety records in the future. Programs such as our free New Silica Standard Training assist our members in understanding the historical and current implications of new construction legislation, while others such as our free Train The Trainer program instruct companies on how best to implement Stretch and Flex programs to promote health and wellness at their jobsites.

The Builders Association is proud to have begun the new industry-wide Safety Stand Down tradition and looks forward to the future of this noble endeavor.
